The PS1. It never gets old.

Target's Mossimo Messenger:
It was certainly no PS1, but not a bad version. Read about the scandal here.

5/16 PM

Here I am, lookin like a goofball. It was getting late at work and I was pretty over it by then.  I had my friend Melissa take this one. Doesn't her phone take great pictures? I need to find out what phone she has.  These shoes are utterly adorable, but sadly too painful on concrete floors for 5.5 hours.  I did not have that grin all evening. Only during the moments when four different customers complimented me on my clip-on earrings. I in turn graciously thanked them for their keen eye for beauty, and informed each of them of where they were discovered.  None other than the flea market at the NC state fairgrounds in Raleigh, of course. One girl I was helping today even asked if she could take a photo of them to show her boss, a jewelry designer. Should have asked her if she knew the contact email for their HR person.  Oh well. Clip-ons are my shit.

But back to the shoes. These little brown tasseled dress shoes (label is "Hunt Club") I found at Goodwill last Friday, but I won't disclose the specific location.  It's the best one in town.  Whenever I go, which isn't that often cause I'm always broke, I'm able to run away which some pretty dope finds.  I made the mistake of revealing this to a customer one day, just making small talk, you know.  I slapped myself afterwords.

Tights, dance tights from years ago. Shorts, Jordache; another Goodwill find from last summer.  Blazer, H&M from fall of 09. You may recall:

As for the shirt, a find from Pretty People, a brand new spankin' vintage dive in Old Town Alexandria, at 108 N. Patrick Street.  My boyfriend(!) Kevin actually spotted this one, and I decided to snag it for several different reasons. #1. The shopgirl offered 20% off for patrons wishing to add their email addresses to the docket at time of purchase.  #2. It's a crop top. And I'm currently in my crop top fetish phase. #3.  It was an affordable price, at about $13.

So, even though it was another Monday, with the day being long, arduous, and exhausting, as all my work days tend to be lately, I still had lovely thoughts to meditate on.  Yet another fabulous weekend.  I have a lot to be thankful for and some pretty special things to be excited about.

Monday.

2011 Costume Institute Met Gala

Daphne Guinness. In Alexander McQueen. She's so freakin sexy and quirky at the same time. Can't wait to read the article on her in my March issue of Bazaar.
