Rodarte and Maggie Cheung have collaborated to raise money for UNICEF. The dresses were auctioned at an event in Hong Kong and all proceeds went to UNICEF; in addition to the event a short film was made and is now on youtube, and each time a click is made to the site 1 Hong Kong dollar will be donated to UNICEF. Today is the last day!!!

The Valentine Duffle. It's part of the new Maria Sharapova line at Cole Haan, a line of handbags and shoes. This one in particular comes in black with white accents as well as white with black. If i could afford it ($228 for the large, $198 for the small...not a bad price for a quality duffle), I'm really not sure which one I'd pick!

a wooden case for your iPhone? Now this is rustic. A bit pricy at close to $100, but hey...if wood is your thing...

South by Southwest Chic PICKS

Anne Ziegler shot some photos for Elle during the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas this week. Out of the 21 that made it to the online feature, these were my favs. I have to say though, I was a bit disappointed. Anne should have brought along an assistant. aka moi.

1. Hot Dress: vintage. I laughed when I read her occupation is "I play in a band." Also, she does not look 33....

Denim dresses are so cute. I have two, but I want more. This one's from Urban Outfitters and the shoes Seychelles. I love her effortless rocker/chic take on the denim dress.

This girl's got the whole Zara/UO/Vintage thing goin on and it's working really well! I especially like her little booties though, they remind me of the slip-on jazz shoes my teacher had in the early 90's. Really stoked to find out there's a Zara in Austin. That pretty much made my day.

So newayz, hopefully I'll be at the festival this same time next year.

birthday pressie

So funny story, about a week or so before my birthday i went into work and lo and behold sitting up at the front were a pair of guy's Ray Ban sunglasses. Apparently someone had left them in the fitting room and hadn't claimed them for like...two weeks. Obviously I snatched them, and promptly gave them to Dylan. I'm pretty sure it made his day. Anyway, I've always wanted a pair of my own, so guess how excited I was when he gave me my birthday present today!

He said he ordered them before I gave him his. Funny how perfectly that worked out, huh?

Robert De Niro circa Taxi Driver. Finally watched it with Therese a couple nights ago, (we had both never seen it, embarrassingly enough) and wow. definitely one of the greats. mohawk or no mohawk? what do you guys think?

Gothic Romance

Certainly sexy, but is it functional?

I mean, I'd definitely wear it. If I lived in New York City and knew people wouldn't point and laugh at me. You just can't dress like that in Harrisonburg. I mean, one could. But it's not realistic or functional for every day. Me show up to work dressed like a Gothic Lolita? Someday. Preferably within the next three years.
